Today my heart filled with pure unadulterated joy as my wife approached me upon stepping out of the shower with a pregnancy test in hand and a beaming, glowing smile. The two simple words that followed encapsulated the two of us in an aura so sweet and warm that I could almost feel myself melting into Tracy’s quivering embrace, “I’m pregnant!”
From the moment I held my son for the first time a little over two years ago, I knew I was born to be a Dad. Now it’s round two and I’m elated!
I’m not too sure what else to write, except that I wanted to share this with you, whoever you are and wherever you are. As far as peak oil is concerned, I will now redouble my efforts to ensure my family is well prepared. Whatever unfolds in the ensuing decade or two, we’ll face as a family, together.
When the long emergency dawns, it is the adhesive bond of family that will hold reality together when it seems that all is about to fall apart. If there’s one thing peak oil will teach us, its ‘together’ is far better than ‘alone’.
Be well, and enjoy your family
Michael
Then there were four my love...
We are half way there with our preparation....
Not long now!
